The Ouseburn Trust is an ambitious organisation committed to working with others to achieve a vibrant, diverse and sustainable future for the Ouseburn Valley.

In Summer 2017 Ouseburn Trust and Ouseburn Futures joined together as one organisation, a single and strong voice for the Ouseburn Valley, to pursue a common goal - delivering the Ouseburn Regeneration Plan objectives.

We are an independent development trust, registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, formally incorporated in 1996.

Our Trustees have recently restated our core objectives:

  • Property
  • Heritage
  • Public Realm
  • Community anchor

and inherent to the way we work is our commitment to community engagement, efficient operation and responsible governance.

Our current priority projects include

  • Managing our own properties as a responsible landlord
  • Promoting regeneration more widely by working with others to develop Ouseburn as a mixed-use urban village
  • Managing the Victoria Tunnel as a visitor attraction, including developing an associated gift shop.
  • Taking ownership of 26 Lime Street and developing it as a Heritage Centre, and the adjoining land as community open space
  • Developing our photo archives, oral history collection and local history research, to share the heritage of the Ouseburn Valley through talks, walks, publications and more
  • Supporting environmental improvement work
  • Building a sense of community and involvement through Ouseburn Valley News
