What we do The Ouseburn Trust is an ambitious organisation committed to working with others to achieve a vibrant, diverse and sustainable future for the Ouseburn Valley. In Summer 2017 Ouseburn Trust and Ouseburn Futures joined together as one organisation, a single and strong voice for the Ouseburn Valley, to pursue a common goal - delivering the Ouseburn Regeneration Plan objectives. We are an independent development trust, registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, formally incorporated in 1996. Our Trustees have recently restated our core objectives: Property Heritage Public Realm Community anchor and inherent to the way we work is our commitment to community engagement, efficient operation and responsible governance. Our current priority projects include Managing our own properties as a responsible landlord Promoting regeneration more widely by working with others to develop Ouseburn as a mixed-use urban village Managing the Victoria Tunnel as a visitor attraction, including developing an associated gift shop. Taking ownership of 26 Lime Street and developing it as a Heritage Centre, and the adjoining land as community open space Developing our photo archives, oral history collection and local history research, to share the heritage of the Ouseburn Valley through talks, walks, publications and more Supporting environmental improvement work Building a sense of community and involvement through Ouseburn Valley News
