Support us Volunteer Ouseburn Festival volunteer steward The Ouseburn Festival is a long-running community event that celebrates all the brilliant venues, spaces and people that make Ouseburn Valley the wonderful place it is. We’re looking for volunteer event stewards to help us across this year’s festival weekend, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July 2023. The role will involve: A 4-hour shift with refreshments provided. You can sign up for one shift per day. There are two primary duties you can cover during your shift: Activity stewards – Be sign-posted at an activity site (boat trips, live music venue, etc). Make sure activities run smoothly and queues are managed. Encourage visitors to donate towards the Festival running costs at the Pay As You Feel donation points. Street stewards – hand out printed programmes to festival visitors, offer directions to different activities and sign-post people to different areas of the Festival. Volunteers can choose to have a fixed duty for the duration of their shift or do split their time across both positions. Both roles allow you to enjoy the atmosphere and events taking place during the Ouseburn Festival! Volunteers will work in pairs or small groups. No previous experience is required. Please note, people aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Time required: You will be required to attend a pre-event 45-minute induction in Ouseburn. This will be arranged closer to the time but we’ll run two sessions, a weekday evening and weekend daytime. Volunteer shifts will be 11am – 3:30m and 3pm – 7:30pm with a 30-minute break for refreshments at the volunteer base. The event takes place across two days (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July) and volunteers are welcome to take part across one or both days. Training provided: You will receive all the information and training you need during the induction session. Sign-up as an Ouseburn Festival volunteer Manage Cookie Preferences
