It was the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Manors Goods Yard in September 2016, a powerful memory of the second world war’s local impact. To mark it the Ouseburn Trust, in partnership with Time Bandits and with funding from Malings Community Fund, hosted a free 1940s weekend in the Valley. There were re-enactmants, walks, tours and a film in the Victoria Tunnel Visitor Centre on 55 Lime Street and outside the Tunnel entrance on Ouse Street. Our friends and neighbours in the Valley are joining in with the theme too.

It was a great weekend and we are planning to run another 1940s event in 2017 - if you'd like to get involved contact Clive here
