discover the history and heritage in Ouseburn's buildings and stories

Tours of the Victoria Tunnel will bring to life the stories of people who lived and worked in the Valley, especially during Victorian times and the second world war.

Every Saturday morning we lead a guided walk of the heritage, regeneration and future of Ouseburn Valley, book one of our Back to the Future 90-minute tours as a great introduction to the area.

Our summer programme of walks will take you on journeys through parts of the Valley you may never have seen and reveal the past through visiting what remains in the present.

Or explore for yourself the bridges, the re-purposed industrial buildings, the regeneration in progress - download a self guided walk leaflet Stroll around the Ouseburn

The glorious Georgian Saint Ann's Church on City Road is open on the first and third Saturdays of the month during the summer (May - September). Call in for a coffee and a look round at this beautiful building, and its active community.

Our friends the Newcastle City Guides have an extensive programme of guided walks including at least one each year through the Ouseburn Valley.

There are open days and walks for Heritage Open Days (13-22 September in 2019)
