The aims of the Heritage Group are to:

  1. Support the Trust’s program of heritage projects and initiatives
  •  Review performance of heritage projects/initiatives
  • Oversee development plans for growth in these areas
  • Support staff team with review and support in developing funding bids to maximise capacity to deliver the best heritage activity possible.
  • To make recommendations for investment in/further development of heritage initiatives for Board approval
  • Act as champions for The Trust Heritage initiatives and champion conservation of valley Heritage
  • Actively support delivery of Trust activities – for example leading a walk, giving a talk
  • Engage with research activity to ensure it meets Trust aims/adds value to our work
  • Ensure public engagement and enjoyment is maximised

 The group holds business meetings every quarter and in between holds informal theme meeting open for wider discussion. Meetings are held at 5pm on the second Tuesday of the month.
