Ellen CreightonI fell in love with the Ouseburn living in Byker and then on the Quayside in my mid-twenties, later volunteering for a number of years at Stepney Stables. For me, it is everything that is great about Newcastle; the City’s most exciting quarter. As a wonderful melting pot of creativity, heritage, industry, culture, community and play; it is truly a place for everyone.

I have a particular interest in and knowledge of historic buildings. Working for the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the past 11 years, I bring significant experience in both grant-giving and project delivery.

I am delighted to be on the Board of the Ouseburn Trust at this most critical time when the future for the Valley looks brighter than ever and yet the pressure of development is great. I believe that strengthening the position of the Trust for all who live, work and play in the Valley is imperative to protecting the Ouseburn’s special character and also the best opportunity to influence change positively.
