As part of Jesmond Community Festival we invite you to discover the secrets hidden under Newcastle’s city streets? Go on your own underground journey to experience the Victoria Tunnel - without ever having to leave the house!

what is the virtual victoria tunnel experience? 

The Virtual Victoria Tunnel Experience is a subterranean adventure you can enjoy from the comfort of your own sofa. All you need is a mobile phone, tablet or computer that's connected to the internet.

You’ll be joined live by one of our award-winning tour guides who’ll use video and images to take you through the Tunnel and share the many stories it lives to tell. You'll be able to interact and ask questions using a chatbox, but you won't be visible through audio or webcam. 

Admission: Free or with voluntary donation if chosen. Duration: 45-60 minutes

*You only need to book one ticket per household/device, regardless of how many people are watching. If you purchase a second ticket for someone elsewhere, email us at least 48 hours before the event so we can send them their own joining link.
