Heritage Open Days 2022 | Victoria Tunnel & Coal Mining

The Victoria Tunnel is a physical reminder of Newcastle's thriving coal-mining past. During this year's Heritage Open Day, we'd like to welcome you to visit the Tunnel for a taster tour which explores a short but important chunk of Newcastle's industrial past. 

This event is free and booking is not required, just turn up any time between 10.30 to 15.30 at the Tunnel entrance on Ouse Street where we are offering free Taster Tours and an array of reminders of the heritage and history of Newcastle’s Coal Mining industry.
