The Green Ouseburn team has been helping to keep Ouseburn looking good for the last five years. With more visitors and families coming to enjoy the area and its green spaces, we want to make it a safe and welcoming place for everyone. 

What does the Ouseburn Green Team do?

• Litter picking and tidying key areas of Ouseburn Valley
• Cutting back overgrown areas
• Maintaining footpaths and steps
• Planting flowers, bulbs and more

Our volunteers develop new skills, gain confidence, make new friends and find they learn to appreciate the local area in a different way.

What skills do you need to become a Green Team Volunteer? 

All you need is enthusiasm and a set of clothes you don't mind getting dirty!

At the start of each session, you will be given relevant health and safety guidance and we ask you to follow instructions accordingly. You should act within your own limitations and not carry out any tasks which you feel uncomfortable with.  If you are in any doubt about anything whatsoever during the day please do not hesitate to seek clarification.

We're happy to welcome people who'd like to volunteer regularly or on an ad-hoc basis.
