Plans for Ouseburn Festival 2021 have been put on hold due to changing Covid-19 guidance and regulations. We'll update this page when we have more information about the feasibility of running the event this year.

We're working with a dedicated group of Ouseburn representatives to organise and deliver a special one-day event that promises fun, music, theatre, crafts, rubber duck races and community spirit... Ouseburn Festival 2021! Now, we need your help to makes sure this special day can go ahead.

What can you expect from Ouseburn Festival 2021?

Ouseburn Festival 2021 will take place across the Valley on Sunday 18th July*.

Activities will include:

  • Outdoor performances on the Ouseburn bandstand
  • Outdoor makers' market
  • The iconic rubber duck race on the Ouseburn River, coordinated by The Cluny
  • Boat trips on the Tyne River
  • & very special events across various participating venues

We need your help to make it happen

A community event like this involves various significant running costs, from licenses and first aiders to paying performers and marshalls. The team behind the event has already secured a range of grants to cover some of these costs, but we need your help to get us to the finish line.

Can you help us make sure Ouseburn Festival can go ahead this summer? Click here to donate what you can.

Whilst we are confident this event can go ahead, if government guidance surrounding public gatherings changes we will take immediate action. If Ouseburn Festival 2021 can't go ahead on Sunday 18th July, we will push the plans to a later date. Any funds raised will remain assigned to the festival running costs regardless of the date.
