We recommend you join us via laptop/computer, however, you can use whatever type of device you have access to. Your device will need to be connected to the internet throughout - a stronger internet connection is likely to improve your experience. Here are some simple connectivity tips: If you’re using wifi, try to sit close to the router If you’re using a laptop or computer and have an ethernet cable, use it Close all other windows/tabs/apps whilst engaging with the event Our events are hosted through Zoom, an online event platform. Here’s everything you need to know about Zoom: You will receive a link to access the event via email. You will need to download the Zoom Desktop Client (free programme) or Zoom app (free app) before joining. You can do this by clicking the joining link and following the prompts that pop up on the screen. Give yourself enough time to download Zoom if you need to do it right before the event. If/when you have Zoom on your device, click the access link when you’re ready to join – like any standard event, please be on time. We will disable your camera and microphone but your name will be visible to other attendees through the participant list. You can communicate with the event’s presenter(s) as well as other attendees through a chatbox. You'll also be able to interact with polls which we may send throughout the session. What if something goes wrong? If your internet crashes during the sessions, click the joining link you received in your confirmation emails. This will enable you to return to the session.
