for heritage enjoy the history and heritage in Ouseburn's buildings and stories Expand Tours of the Victoria Tunnel will bring to life the stories of people who lived and worked in the Valley, especially during Victorian times and the second world war. Our summer programme of walks will take you on journeys through parts of the Valley you may never have seen and reveal the past through visiting what remains in the present. The glorious Georgian St Ann's Church on City Road is open on the first and third Saturdays of the month during the summer (May - September). Call in for a coffee and a look round at this beautiful building, and its active community. Our friends the Newcastle City Guides have an extensive programme of guided walks including at least one each year through the Ouseburn Valley. There are open days and walks for Heritage Open Days (second weekend in September)
