We're busy planning a celebration day to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday 8 May. For the people who sheltered in the Victoria Tunnel during World War 2 this was a great occasion.

From the grassy area outside the Tunnel entrance on Ouse St we will be offering free taster tours from 10.30am, refreshments, WW2 vehicles, and in the afternoon a Scottish Pipe Band playing traditional music and a special composition to mark this VE Anniversary. If you'd like to come in a 1940s outfit please do - but come anyway and enjoy the day.

In the evening there will be a special performance by Fools Gold - see more details and buy tickets here.

If you have more ideas for ways to make it a great day please do contact the Victoria Tunnel Co-ordinator.
