Hadrian's Wall Beacon Party

Join us for the Hadrian's Wall Beacon Party! We're taking part in a very special celebration that commemorates the route of Hadrian's Wall. Many people are still unaware of the fact that Hadrian's Wall ran through Byker and Ouseburn Valley, so we're teaming up with the Cumberland Arms to host an evening to celebrate our local history. 

Free to attend | 4pm - 11pm 

What to expect at the Hadrian's Wall Beacon Party 

• Storytelling at the newly refurbished story circle by the Cumberland Arms | 4pm - 8pm
• Live music on the Cumberland Arms Terrace | throughout the evening 
• Food from a local vendor | throughout the evening 
• Exclusive roman beer brewed by Northern Alchemy | throughout the evening 
• Performances by the Kingsmen | 10pm
• An exclusive light show and music developed by Multiminded Media | 10pm - 11pm
• Information point to learn more about Hadrian's Wall in Byker and Ouseburn | throughout the evening 
• Ceremonial beacon lighting | 10pm (Beacons will be simultaneously lit across the commonwealth, including along the route of Hadrian's Wall on Thursday 2nd June, as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.)
